space, or lack of

Why this odd photo I hear you ask? Its all because Katy showed us her workspace and then said 'show me yours!' So I have. Small isn't it, all I have managed to do is commandeer part of our coffee table for part of the time, quite often everything is packed away in the little box and put away. Now you can see why I dream of a room I could fill with all my craft things. Of course I also have my felt box, a big rolling box under the bed full of all my fabric, a bigger sewing box, a tray of sewing cottons and a big pouffe which holds all my picciolo things. I am slowly taking over the house! : )

Oh my word, you do live compactly. Well, I give you credit for being able to pack it all into a neat little box, but dear, you really do need some proper space! Perhaps a little hut in the newly cleared area of your back yard? hmmmm...

Yes, you need a room!!!! (so do I though!)
You and your sister are so tidy, is it in the genes?

oh my gosh! If I had to be that tidy I'd go crazy! Luckily I'm allowed the smallest bedroom until we have kids - then I'll be relegated to the utility room. J likes to be able to close the door on my mess! ;)

When I do some crafting (which is rarely..) I practically take over the entire table and hall, so messy. You are very organised and to think that everything is so compact here, very good! ..but have a room will be better i guess :)

What a great way of staying organized, though I can imagine it being tempting to spread out and take over!! :) Way to be tidy!

Workspaces are so neat to look at - thanks for sharing!

LOL! I'm laughing, ridiculously right now :) Not because your work space is so small, but because it's so perfect and cute! Like your artwork. I have a roll-away chest of "stuff" for my books. It's hard when you don't have a lot of "free" space!

You and me both!
I'm a migrating crafter...I never know what room I'll feel like creating in. Different rooms give different vibes - or at least, I try to convince myself of that. Since we had my son and converted my studio into a nursery, I've had to learn how to work out of my Crate & Barrel secretary - VERY CRAMPED!

I hope you get that room deary...you deserve it!

Well your teeny workspace is certainly very neat! The bigger the workspace the bigger the mess (this is my experience anyways ;)

I love that picture!

I feel your pain too. I work on a tiny desk, and the kitchen table, because my desk is just too tiny!

This is bringing on flashbacks of how I used to work - only not so neat and tidy here at my house! I finally moved to the basement and am so happy I did. You definitely need your own space to spread out and create. I hope you get it!!

Yes, you need a room! (So do I, though... I have taken most of our bedroom, part of a hallway, plus my one daughter's room when she is away at college. Not my dream studio set up, but you have to work with what you have!)

That would be such a challenge! I think sewing especially needs a room. I took over our dining room.

Really you deserve kudos for being so organized and not making excuses. For those who love creating there's not too many obstacles that will stop them!

My dining-room-turned-study is filled with all my supplies and finished products. Oh to be able to have my house back...or at least in better order!
