I have a weakness for macaroons, I think they are absolutely delicious. Stuart and Holly made me some for Christmas, but they are long gone so Holly and I attempted to make some last weekend. It did take a few hours but we ended up with these, they don't look bad for a first attempt and they taste really good!: )

Hey they look really good! I've never tried making them myself but I've been told they're not so easy! Macaroons are super expensive to buy here so I should attempt to make my own. I doubt mine would look as good as your efforts though :)
