sunshine

What a glorious weekend we had here in London, sunny and warm, just perfect for spending outside. We spent all of Saturday in the sunshine, Stuart at the allotment and Holly and I in the garden. I spent most of the time digging and clearing - stopping for breaks to jump on the trampoline and eat pretend barbecue food made by Holly (yum, I wished it was real). Holly and I made the curtains when the playhouse was new, we finger-painted them together. By mid afternoon I had finished two new flowerbeds, and so we all went to the garden centre and picked out lots of lovely plants, which got planted yesterday. So this is the result of all my hard work, it doesn’t look like much yet, but it is such an improvement. : )

I love the idea of a playhouse, my chidlren would go crazy over it..though I think they are little too big for it. we are thinking of building a small deck under two trees for shade, this will be the kids reading spot too. Oh, tks a lot for posting the garden, I love gardens and keep it coming please..love to see the flowers blooming. hugs/m

I bet it will look fab in the summer! I love the play house.
We need to make a start on our garden this year before I get too big to be able to do any!

Oh love the playhouse - the curtains are fabulous! Cannot wait to have a garden to potter about in (I'll have to learn how to actually garden in the meantime!)

How lovely! And love the play house too. We had an allotment when we lived in London, in Ally Pally. Got one here too, plus a veg patch in the garden, plus the school garden - just sowed mange tout, sunflowers and tomatoes (in pots) this morning.

Planting time already. Soon your little plants will fill out nicely and all the hard work will be obvious. We're in another snow storm...but Spring has no choice but to show up eventually.

Your garden looks good so far! Sounds like a blissful weekend to me! I've never tried pretend BBQ food before. I'm wondering what kind of beer goes nicely with that :)

Gardening is such hard work, and a long-term project. More so than crafting. I'm sure your garden will go from strength to strength ... I need to tackle the rectangle of grass we have.
